Parliamentary Associations
Monte has been elected to the executive of the Canada-U.S. Parliamentary Association and from 1999-2002 has been a delegate to the Canada-U.S. annual meetings. These meetings are an important opportunity to meet U.S. counterparts and directly address common Canada-U.S. concerns trade, agriculture, defense, shared border issues, etc.
